Since popping up in Austin, we’ve been having the best time! It’s been such a treat getting to know this beautiful community and learning that music and food, is so much more than just music and food in this culture rich hub.
Austin really has been the best host and we’ve enjoyed every minute of being here. We’re still in town until June 4th so be sure to check out our pop-up.
Here’s what we noticed about the Live Music Capital of the World.
The Vibe
Compared to our stomping grounds of Hong Kong, Austin is a place where everyone is warm and friendly to strangers. It has the unique ability to feel like a small town, but with all the perks of big city living. It’s the kind of place where the staff at your local coffee shops will know your name but, is also big enough that you don’t have to drink your coffee in the same place, if you don’t want to.
The city has the parks and outdoors vibe of a small town but,
it’s more of a calm and steady place – mixed with a bit the big city hustle.

A Sense of Community and Lifestyle Like No Other
The food, slower pace, and outdoor lifestyle all seem like the recipe for a long healthy life (maybe not the queso, but that’s good for the soul). You can feel the sense of community everywhere you look, people are friendly, welcoming to strangers, and actually say things like ‘Hey y’all!’

An Outdoor Enthusiasts Playground
We love the beautiful parks in the city and the hikes that are just around the corner. In a shorter drive you can reach the breathtaking Enchanted rock or Pedernales falls state park. For people who want to stay in the city, you can also get your fair share of lush greenery, like down by Ladybird lake.
In Texas, it’s all or nothing
and nothing ain’t an option.

So Much Heritage, You’ll Be Sure to Find Some Gems
We’ve talked about the music and food before but you’re also sure to find some boutique shops and hidden gems. Allens boots is boot heaven. You’ll need to spend some time here as the selection is beyond vast, but be patient, and you’ll find your spirit animal equivalent in a pair of boots. In Texas, it’s all or nothing and nothing ain’t an option. So, to complete your look you can head on over to Goorin Bros. Hat Shop, just a few doors down and get fully decked out. It doesn’t have to be a cowboy hat, those boots will look amazing with whatever you feel like wearing. Pair it with our Eisenhower Jacket in moss green and you’re set for a very urban chic look that’s uniquely Austin.
Remember, we’re still in town until June 4th so be sure to check out our pop-up.
