Growing up, I always loved to create and I was taken by strong aesthetics. I enjoyed learning about the way things got started and the hard work behind how they grew - that’s what being a builder is all about. That’s also what it takes to be a successful entrepreneur - you have to embody both sides with the ideas and the creativity but you also have to know how to execute and bring that vision to life. It’s also about being opportunistic, and the fact is, investing in women is a great opportunity.
My advice for young women who want to pursue careers in tech is to seek out opportunities, be hungry and ask a lot of questions. Don’t be afraid to show that you don’t know something, but be interested. Be excited about different topics. Find your passions. Create conversation around that and ask as many questions as you can of the people that you talk to. That’s how you learn.
Sleek, effortless and understated.
